POSSIBLE REACTIONS
AFTER RECEIVING
THE JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS VACCINE: |
1. |
The reaction from this inactive
vaccine is quite minimal; the partial reactions are
rashes, inflammation and pain in the injected area. |
2. |
Sometimes there are other body
reactions like fever, cold sweats, headache and tiredness.
These symptoms will be gone in 2~3 days. |
3. |
The chance of a severe reaction
is one in a million cases. |
|
THINGS TO TAKE NOTE
WHEN RECEIVING
THE MEASLES MUMPS AND RUBELLA VACCINE (M.M.R): |
1. |
Avoid pregnancy within 3 months
after receiving the vaccine. |
2. |
A one month waiting period is
requested for those who have been injected with the
immunization. Globulin Intravenous shot should be
administered, before having the M.M.R. vaccine, in
order to prevent the loss of effectiveness. |
|
POSSIBLE REACTIONS
AFTER RECEIVING THE VACCINE: |
1. |
Reactions are rare. |
2. |
Like the Measles vaccine, 5~12
days after the vaccine is administered, there may
be symptoms of rash, cough, rhinitis or fever. |
3. |
Like the Rubella vaccine, there
may be symptoms of fever and/or temporary headache. |
4. |
There have been reports that
the Mumps and Rubella vaccines may cause slight reactions
in the central nervous system, but the likelihood
for this is very minimal. |
